Introduction

Hi!

We created this blog to keep those interested in the loop with how the Estonians are doing at the Pentamind World Championship and to upload some pictures of that. We will mainly keep our fans updated at the Estonian mindgames page forum http://www.vint.ee/ (http://www.mindoku.com/). The name of the overall event is Mind Sports Olympiad and it is taking place in London for the 19th time. Here is the official homepage of the event: http://www.msoworld.com/. There are more than 70 different tournaments held during the 8 days of the event. There are three sessions on each playing day (morning, afternoon, night), which are all about 4 hours long and tournaments are either short (one sessions aka four hours) or long (two sessions aka eight hours). For the Pentamind World Championship, you need to attend at least two long tournaments (out of at least five in total) and the points for the Peantamind competitions will be counted according to the place at the tournament and the number of players at the same tournament.

Estonians have been doing quite well in the previous years. Our main mindsports player Andres Kuusk has won the Pentamind Competition on three occasions - on the years 2011, 2013 and 2014.

Estonia has been doing well at the junior Pentamind as well. Martin Hõbemägi won the junior gold in both 2013 and 2014.

Last year we managed to get the full set of gold medals when MAdli Mirme managed to secure the Women Pentamind gold medal.
